Everything Geeky - Give Female Superheroes A Chance!

August 4th, 2009 2:25pm EDT
Wonder Woman
At the San Diego Comic Con I was speaking with Michael Jelenic, the writer of the recent animated movie "Wonder Woman," and we were lamenting that the film did not do quite as well as everyone hoped. Even with the positive critical response and excellent promotion, it just didn't get the high sell numbers fans were waiting for, although it did moderately well overall.

The reason I personally watched closely was because without proving that a female superhero can sell DVDs and toys, it is unlikely we'll see very much more of it in the mass media. They mostly sold the movies Elektra and C...

Taking a "revisionist" approach to several DC Comics favorites, the weekly adventure series Birds of Prey could easily have been retitled "Charlie's Superheroines." The complete series is now on DVD. Also in stores: season nine of Dallas, season five of Reno 911 and season one of Saving Grace.

Sidekick to Mary Richards

From: The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970-1977)

Portrayed by Valerie Harper

January 7th, 2008 12:30pm EST
Gerard Butler

My opinions will be laid before you to judge, critique, and get angry over. On second thought, this might not qualify as a dream come true.
