Alison Sweeney Leaving Hosting Duties On NBC's 'The Biggest Lose
After 13 seasons as host of NBC's "The Biggest Loser," Alison Sweeney is stepping down.

In 2014, Sweeney ended her run on "Days of our Lives" after twenty-one years as Sami Brady/Hernandez/DiMera.

Since joining the NBC series, Sweeney has led 13 seasons, including "The Biggest Loser: Couples," "The Biggest L...

Is 'The Biggest Loser' Torturing Its Contestants?
Kai Hibbard has a lot to thank "The Biggest Loser" for- after being a contestant on the NBC reality series, she went from 265 lbs to a mere 144, losing 121 lbs on the series.

But Hibbard's not thankful- she's speaking out against "The Biggest Loser," and telling the world of the heinous conditions she underwent as part of the show's weight loss program.

In speaking to the New York Post, here's some of the terrors Hibbard revealed.

Contestants had to sign contracts forbidding them to speak ill of "The Biggest Loser" (is Hibbard breaking that right now?).

Contestants were trapped in ...

NFL Pro Scott Mitchell Loses 124 Lbs On 'The Biggest Loser'
Let it never be said that "The Biggest Loser" doesn't work (at least in the short term- plenty of contestants have gained their excess poundage back later).

Scott Mitchell, though, is certainly a weight loss success. He's shed a whopping 124 lbs thanks to the NBC fitness-based reality show, going from 366 lbs to a mere 242 (if 242 still sounds like a lot, it's not so much on Mitchell's 6' 6" frame).

In the most recent episode of "The Biggest Loser," Mitchell revealed his trim new physique to his family, with a lot of happy sobbing.

Apparently, Mitchell's weight fluctuated while he was a...

Fall TV 2014: A Night By Night Comparison Of What May And May Not Work

5/15/2014 2:40pm EDT
Fall TV 2014: A Night By Night Comparison Of What May And May No
Now that all the big networks have revealed what they’ll be showing us this fall, let’s take a look at what may or may not work.

ABC is essentially playing it safe, and keeping Sunday Night intact. American Crime will swap for Resurrection at midseason. Resurrection was a buzzy drama that started seeing a ratings decline. Not waiting till midseason is probably a smart move. You don’t want to lose any more audience. It’s not a winning strategy, but ABC just doesn’t want to be in last place.

NBC has football, another super safe move. CBS is shaking things up, banishing Amazing Race...

3/21/2012 11:15am EDT
Her Universe
One of the joys of fandom is being able to share your passions. And thanks to Ashley and David Eckstein, that just got a lot easier (and cooler) for women.

Representing one's fandoms can be a difficult task for the female gender. I say that from experience; I'm all about showing off my allegiances. One of those happens to be to the San Diego Padres, and I went on a rant when there wasn't a T-shirt for my favorite second baseman, a certain David Eckstein. You can imagine my delight to hear that someone that I am a huge fan of was making it easier for me to represent the things I love.

Boston Rob Mariano Finally Named Sole 'Survivor' – Reality TV Highlights (May 15-21, 2011)

5/22/2011 9:47am EDT
Rob Mariano,
After more than 100 days over 10 years spent roughing it in the jungles of the world, “Boston” Rob Mariano was finally named the sole “Survivor” on Sunday. Mariano earned all but one of the “Survivor: Redemption Island” jury votes (we still can’t believe Phillip received a vote) after giving an incredible final plea and answering jurors’ questions on the season finale. Winning the final immunity challenge solidified Rob’s spot in the Final 3, but it was his spot-on gameplay and near-perfect strategy that earned him the $1 million prize.

On Monday, Rob opened up to me about what he thought ...

Andrea Boehlke,
“Survivor: Redemption Island” Ometepe 6 have been a tight-knit group since the beginning, with Rob choosing members he knew would follow his lead and not go against his decisions. But all that had to change eventually, and on Thursday, the ball was forced to drop when only the Ometepe 6 remained at camp. So, which member of the group was the first to go?

What to watch, May 8-14, 2011: (coming soon!)

Andrea, of course! While Rob toyed with the idea of sending Phillip home because he was, once again, becoming an annoyance to the tribe, he couldn’t get past Andrea’s strength at challenges an...

Hollywood Unwrapped: Must Not See TV

4/15/2011 8:43am EDT
I have a question to ask all of the readers of this column. Do we really have Hollywood stars or real actors that we had in the past? Gone are the days when studios had an iron claw on the stars and being a celebrity actually meant something.

Yes, today we still have a handful of Academy Award winning movie stars such as Meryl Streep, George Clooney, Tom Hanks, and Clint Eastwood. We don’t have stars like Steve McQueen, James Dean or an Audrey Hepburn. But that's on the big screen.

Today, television is packed with reality shows that makes us lose brain cells and it seems like we be...

'Bachelor' Bachelorettes Let Loose On Season Villain Michelle Money – Reality TV Highlights, March 6-12, 2011

3/12/2011 3:09pm EST
Michelle Money,
“Bachelor” fans wait all season for the truth to spill out during each season’s Women Tell All special, and this season’s special was no exception; although, the truth that came out may not have been the truth viewers were expecting.

Yes, the women came down hard on Michelle Money for all the cruel things she said during the season, but it wasn’t really the things she said that bothered them; what bothered the women was that the Michelle that got to know in the house was NOTHING like the woman they saw in episodes. They felt confused by her two personalities and were beyond hurt that she w...
