'Cheers' Tops Poll Of Best TV Theme Songs
Two decades after the last episode of Cheers, "Where Everybody Knows Your Name" still resonates as the best TV theme song, according to readers of TV Guide Magazine. The mag asked readers to help them find the 60 best themes since the dawn of television, and some of the choices may surprise you.
Of course, Cheers' theme being on the list isn't too much of a shocker - it was actually featured in several other shows on the list as a joke or reference and some of its episodes are considered the best of all time. TV Guide also rated the show the 18th greatest in a recent list.

"The Beverly Hillbillies" star Donna Douglas has settled her lawsuit against TV bosses and toy maker Mattel over a Barbie that was created using her character's likeness.
The actress, who played tomboy Elly May Clampett in the long-running series, launched a legal battle against bosses at CBS Corp. and Mattel Inc. in May after alleging both companies neglected to seek her permission before inking a partnership to make the doll.

Max Baer Jr. Breaks Silence Over Girlfriend's Suicide
Veteran actor Max Baer Jr. has spoken for the first time about the moment he discovered his 30-year-old girlfriend had shot herself in the chest in January. The Beverly Hillbilles star, 70, called emergency services after he found Chere Rhodes unconscious from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at his Lake Tahoe home on the California/Nevada border on January 27.
According to police, who found a handwritten note at the scene, Rhodes regained consciousness and told cops she had tried to take her own life. She died in a hospital three days later.
