In "River of No Return," the second feature, Mitch heads to the California Gold Country after his uncle dies while searching for a gold strike. Mitch and three of his fellow lifeguards, Hobie, Eddie, and Shauni, decide to get some rafting in while they're away, but they run afoul of the men who murdered his uncle -- and now they want his treasure map. Meanwhile, at the beach, competition is fierce in the annual rookie swim, and Summer's competitive edge is dulled when she has to deal with her mother's sadistic ex-boyfriend.
