ABC announced that "The Bachelorette" season 10 contestant Chris Soules has become the next star of hit series "The Bachelor," which will kick off in January 2015.

The fan favorite, who was one of the final three men vying for Andi Dorfman's love on the latest season of "The Bachelorette," was revealed on Good Morning America Wednesday.

NBC has cancelled Revolution after two seasons. Revolution was a bubble series for a while, and its prospects just kept getting worse. There was a rumor that NBC would order an abbreviated final season, but ultimately NBC passed on the show altogether.

In other news, NBC has cancelled Community, which is surprising after most people thought it would get a final season order from NBC. The Bachelor star Juan Pablo Galavis has defended his highly criticized season on the show, saying he's "not a bad guy."

The star sat down for an interview that appears in the new issue of PEOPLE magazine, revealing that what people saw on the show doesn't exactly portray who he is. He also explains why the 18th season finale didn't include a wedding proposal.

The reality TV star and boyfriend Tyler Johnson were engaged over the weekend, and Johnson gave her five rings, according to Us Weekly. He also gave her eight-year-old daughter Ricki a ring.

Gia Allemand, 29, of The Bachelor and The Bachelor Pad died Wednesday, Aug. 14, in New Orleans of an apparent suicide.

We first learned on Monday that Gia was rushed to the hospital in critical condition of an "unknown medical emergency," but it has since emerged that she hung herself.

Gia was living in Louisiana with her boyfriend, NBA player Ryan Anderson, who was the one who found her unconscious.

Ryan and Gia's mother were reportedly at her side when she was taken off life support, given her last rites, and passed away.
