May 19th, 2013 2:35pm EDT
Ella Wahlestedt
Lifetime's Army Wives has added plenty of new characters recently, and one of them is Caroline Hall, the daughter of Sergeant Eddie Hall, who doesn't get along with stepmom Maggie. Caroline is played by actress Ella Wahlestedt, who joined BFTV recently to talk about coming onto the show in its seventh season and what ambitions she has for the rest of her career.

"There's a lot of drama!" she said of the remaining episodes of Army Wives this season, though she couldn't tell us specifics about what or who's involved. There are three installments left in season seven, which has already involv...

August 12th, 2012 10:00am EDT
Joseph Julian Soria
Lifetime's Army Wives has added new faces for Season 6, including Private First Class Hector Cruz, played by up-and-coming young actor Joseph Julian Soria. It hasn't been an easy road for Hector, as he's fought with wife Gloria (Alyssa Diaz) only for her to discover his affair with another woman, and now they're on the path to divorce. With just three more episodes left in the season, there's more drama headed their way...and I recently caught up with J.J. to ask him about it!

"Just expect more drama," he told me with a laugh, adding that Hector is still in the process of "Becomi...

March 9th, 2012 8:33am EST
Kim Delaney
Kim Delaney has broken her silence after she had to be escorted offstage at a gala event last year in the middle of a rambling speech about military families.

The actress stunned organizers of a tribute to U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates at Philadelphia's National Constitution Center as she appeared dishevelled and bewildered as she talked about her own TV experiences with military families.

She said, "I've seen soldiers come home with painful life altering injuries borne of their time and service. I've attended numerous military funerals, including that of my best friend's son."

I stopped by a couple of charity benefits last week where I picked up some fun scooplets. My thanks to the folks at the Alzheimer Association's Night at Sardi's Fundraiser and The Humane Society's Genesis Awards for the red carpet access — and the salad, entrée and dessert.

ABC's Modern Family is ending its second season by adding a new series regular. The name of this pretty young new character: Bridgette. Who is she, you ask? "We're getting a French bulldog for me to hang out with," reports Rico Rodriguez (Manny). "She'll probably be ...

Up and coming actress, Katelyn Pippy, is making her mark and proving herself to be a force to be reckoned with. The 17-year-old Army Wives co-star portrays the role of Emmalin Holden, a young girl, much like herself, going through life as a child of the army.

What people don't know about Pippy, is that she is in fact a part of an actual army family. Drawing on her own personal experiences is something Pippy can utilize when dealing with some of her more emotionally draining scenes, such as watching her father and loved ones deploy on missions.

Review: 'For Colored Girls' Would Have Been Better Suited For The Small Screen

November 3rd, 2010 10:00am EDT
Four Colored Girls
A good movie either needs the big screen, the big budget, or big stars to be worthy of an audience as large as Tyler Perry's. “For Colored Girls” would make a wonderful first season of a cable (or TBS) drama.

Tyler Perry's "For Colored Girls" is one of those movies that follows interconnecting stories of people going through struggles. The domestically abused, the sexually assaulted, accidentally impregnated, the barren, and hopelessly devoted. Think “Valentines Day” with rape.

The movie is not unlike that of a, or, well, six lifetime films in that it's about women who don't need men. Or ...

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'The Wolfman,' 'Valentine's Day,'

February 8th, 2010 10:15am EST
The Wolfman
Pierre Morel's film from last week "From Paris With Love," isn't awesomely bad, but instead it's just plain bad. As an action movie, it's visually entertaining because it engrosses you in the fight scenes and shootouts

, while maintaining solid pacing. These elements are completely overshadowed however by the horrendously written dialogue and plot.

The story doesn't introduce any specific elements to engage the audience or fully explain the terrorist plan the protagonists are hoping to thwart. In some instances the dialogue is so ludicrous that you find yourself audibly laughing at ...

The Vampire Diaries
Has anyone else noticed that vampires are getting very, very trendy? There was a time in the 90s when Anne Rice's "Interview With the Vampire" came out and that inspired some great new versions of the old monster tale. Then there was "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" that brought pop culture and vampire horror together in a hilarious high school drama kind of way, and that show's spin off "Angel" continued the legacy.

Lately vampires have been booming in a big way thanks to "Twilight" and "True Blood," and now there's a new series coming to the CW for vamp-fans to salivate over. "The Vampire D...
