Despite much speculation in the past few months, business tycoon Donald Trump has decided not to run for president of the United States in 2012. The reality star has instead decided that he's going to continue on with his hit TV series, The Celebrity Apprentice

The main reason? Because of the money the show has raised for charity.

"I love 'Celebrity Apprentice," he announced at NBC's Upfront Presentation on Monday.

"We've raised tens-of-millions of dollars for charity, we've never raised so much as we have in the last season."

"We're going to continue making lots and lots of money fo...

"It was a go-go world. 'The Apprentice' went on in that atmosphere," he said, describing the economic climate five or six years ago, when the show was in its early seasons, which featured top graduates from top business schools. In the current cycle, down-on-their-luck Americans who've suffered in t...

NBC Fall Season Preview: Spies, CIA Plots And Outsourcing

September 20th, 2010 11:45am EDT
NBC Fall Preview
NBC is likely getting tired of being referred to as "fourth place NBC." Last year's Jay Leno experiment was clearly a disaster and served as a boon for TBS, which won the Conan sweepstakes. This fall, NBC has fresher programming. With aging favorites and risky new underdogs, does the network have a shot at moving up the ratings ladder, even to third place? Time will tell. Stranger things have happened. Here's a look at what new shows could make the grade and what's in store for old favorites.

If there is one word to describe Donald Trump’s feelings about the new season of “The Apprentice” it’s optimistic. “Well, I think it’s the best ‘Apprentice’ that we’ve done since Season One,” says Trump who is host and also executive producer. “I think the field [of candidates] is terrific. It’s a better plot in terms of bad times versus good times.”

Muslim activist Feisal Abdul Rauf is behind plans to build a $100 million mosque just a few blocks from the site of the World Trade Center, which have sparked a heated debate about the status of religious freedom and tolerance.

Furious citizens have banded together to urge city officials to insist the mosque is moved away f...

Donald Trump
Property tycoon-turned-TV personality Donald Trump has begun the construction of his controversial golf course resort in northern Scotland after years of delays and disputes with local residents.

Trump's plans to build the "world's greatest golf course" in the seaside city of Aberdeen stalled after environmentalists protested its development, insisting construction would damage sand dunes in a protected area. His proposal was originally rejected by Aberdeenshire Council officials before finally being approved by the national government in November 2008.

Government officials cited "signif...

Breaking Down The 'Celebrity Apprentice' Season 3 Cast (Photos)

January 5th, 2010 12:17pm EST
Rod Blagojevich
Another season of The Apprentice, another Celebrity version. While it would be nice for Donald Trump to help out our unemployment numbers by actually hiring someone via the show, he has quite an interesting group of celebrities to deal with this season.

Rod Blagojevich: Included because the producers knew the announcement would make a splash (and it did), don't expect the former Illinois Governor to last very long. Remember, Khloe Kardashian was fired for a DUI arrest last season. Expect Rod to scrape together some cash for charity, then get ousted during a bully pulpit from The Don.

The Ten Greatest Of The Decade: TV Shows

December 14th, 2009 9:30am EST
Best TV Of The Decade
As the decade reaches its conclusion, you'll undoubtedly come across many lists. Lists that purport to tell you the best, the top, the cream of the decade as they relate to pop culture. You're also certain to come across many lists that claim to rank the "greatest" of the ten year period from 2000-2009. But what does that really mean?

"Greatest" should be something entirely different from what we usually associate with these lists. Mostly, these lists claim to rank the best - something that is only truly possible were a listmaker to, say, see every single movie in a given decade. If...

'Hell's Kitchen' Recap: A Visit To The Slaughterhouse, Eating Cow Parts & More

February 20th, 2009 2:15pm EST
Charlie from Hell
This recent episode brought to mind a weak point that has been in Hell's Kitchen since its creation. Most reality shows allow the contestants or public to vote on who should be on the chopping block, but Hell's Kitchen leaves it all in the hands of its host, Chef Gordon Ramsay.

Right now you may be thinking to yourself, “Hey, in The Apprentice, Donald Trump gets to choose who goes.” This is true, but Trump isn’t watching the contests as they go about their challenges – thus allowing players to lie to “The Don” in the boardroom to get a powerful rival out. In “Hell’s Kitchen,” Ramsay i...

'Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!' & Other Memorable TV Quotes

July 14th, 2008 8:45am EDT
When the television became available in the early 20th century, who would have ever thought it could became such a vital part of pop culture and media coverage? These days the "Boob Tube" still holds power over even the most casual of viewers with its advertising campaigns and storytelling prime time shows.

The television is used to entertain as well as inform, and over the years thousands of shows were created to catch the attention of the public. Only so many shows are able to grab the love and approval of audiences, and even less than that stay memorable after years pass on. Here a...
