Dylan (Kevin Sorbo) is determined to disarm the planet Marduk, which is using a testing nova bombs--the Weapons of Mass Destructon of the future. The New Commonwealth refuses to sanction Dylan's mission, forcing the crew of the Andromeda to go it alone, and illegally, with a hand-picked squadron of slipfighters. This episode's parallels to the Iraqi situation of the early 21st century are emphasized as Dylan wonders if merely destroying dangerous weapons will truly benefit the oppressed people of Marduk.
