American Chopper: Season 02
Running Time: 60 min.
More marvelous custom-fabricated bikes come rolling out of Orange County Choppers, the headquarters of the mechanically brilliant Teutul family during season two of the Discovery Channel's American Chopper. The season's first assignment (which, like most previous assignments, requires two episodes to complete) is the creation of a snap-on tool bike, using materials that can be assembled and unassembled at a moment's notice -- but there aren't many moments available, since the Teutuls are battling a deadline (not to mention each other). Once this is completed, we pause for a holiday special, which yields a special Santa bike commissioned by old St. Nick himself! The remainder of the season finds the O.C.C. crew working on such high-powered esoterica as a New York Jets bike, a POW/MIA bike, a Miller electric bike, and even a special chopper for the personal pleasure of Jay Leno, who asks for and receives a replica of the classic 1939 Brough Superior. And so it goes until the season finale, wherein an effort to complete a special bike for the Lincoln Motor Company morphs into an odyssey in which the Teutuls and their staff end up lifting the spirits of injured troops at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C.
