Former supermodel Tyra Banks' hit reality TV show America's Next Top Model has been given a big boost by the world's most revered fashion bible - Italian Vogue.

This week’s season finale of America’s Next Top Model narrowed the girls from four to two, then from two to one…because there can only be one Top Model. The final four girls were initially greeted by Andre Leon Talley who brought them flowers and shared some words of wisdom. Supermodel-turned-TV personality Tyra Banks is expanding her business portfolio after signing a book deal for a fantasy series aimed at young adults.

The America's Next Top Model host has secured a three-book deal with Delacorte Press for the series, entitled Modelland.

According to industry paper Daily Variety, the books will follow a teenager who gets into an exclusive modeling academy for Intoxibellas - models who have unknown powers.

Banks' first book is scheduled to hit shelves next summer.

Supermodel-turned-talk show host Tyra Banks shocked TV audiences on Friday when she acted out a rabies-induced fit during her program.

Banks took the stage explaining she had been bitten by a rabid dog before the show and had received treatment for the fatal viral disease, which can cause erratic behavior.

I don't know what it is about cycle 14 of America's Next Top Model, but something just seems to feel off every week. I know that in reality TV world, each contestant on a show has their time to shine while others sit in the background; but, this week's episode of Top Model put a lot of girls in the background…which is odd considering the small number left competing. If there were 12 or 13, okay, I get it, but when we're down to nine girls, the models should be focused on relatively equally.
