Portia De Rossi is heading back to TV thanks to a new script developed by her comedienne wife Ellen DeGeneres.
The former "Ally McBeal" and "Arrested Development" star will lead the cast of comedy "The Smart One," which has just been picked up by bosses at ABC, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The plot centers on an intelligent professional who agrees to work for her dumb but popular sister who is a city mayor.
DeGeneres will executive produce the project.
