Brook Burke was born September, 18, 1971, in Hartford, Connecticut, but was raised in Tucson, Arizona. With a blend of French, Irish, and Portuguese roots, the young woman was "discovered" while accompanying a friend to a modeling agency. Shortly after, she won an acting scholarship and headed to LA to study broadcast journalism. In her spare time she worked as a model and posed for Frederick's of Hollywood catalogues.
After signing with prestigious model and talent agencies, Burke graced the covers of several magazines and appeared in a few commercials. But her big break occurred in 1997 when she landed the coveted spot as host of E! Entertainment Television's travel show Wild On. This led to a stint as a spokesperson for the Norwegian Cruise Line. In the meantime, she posed for Playboy in 2001, started her own swimwear line, and released her own swimsuit calendars in 2003 and 2004.
In 2004, the model was featured in the popular video game Need for Speed: Underground 2 playing Rachel Teller, a street-wise adrenaline junkie who runs an elite underground street racing circuit. Her "performance" resulted in a Spike TV Video Game Award for "best performance by a human-female." Burke has made guest appearances on TV shows such as Monk, Eve, The Bernie Mac Show and Less Than Perfect. In 2005 she hosted the reality series Rock Star: INXS with rock guitarist Dave Navarro. She has also been featured in the films Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, The Hazing, and Knuckle Sandwich.
The model married plastic surgeon Garth Fisher in 2001, and the couple has two daughters.

A star known for projecting a substantial amount of exotic glamour (the result of combined French, Portuguese, and Irish ancestry), Brooke Burke parlayed that look into a lucrative career emceeing programs for the E! entertainment network. The Tucson, AZ, native maintained a particularly high profile on that station's travel series Wild On..., while also posing for countless modeling shots, calendars, and swimsuit covers. She was the subject of Red Shoe Diaries creator Zalman King's 2002 biographical portrait Barely Brooke, played a small role in the 2004 Ben Stiller comedy Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, and the following year pooled her resources with those of reality TV giant Mark Burnett to co-host the competitive reality series Rock Star: INXS (2005) and the follow-up season, Rock Star: Supernova (2006), opposite Dave Navarro.
