Hi Obama hailing you out from all the way in Trinidad, I just want ot say to you that you are doing a fantastic job, being a black person like you are you make us feel proud. | I think he has no clue as to what is gonna happen if he wins.Does he think Republicans are the only pigs at the trough? Did he not see the lobbyists at his convention?Does he really think Congress will reform the tax code that they benefit from? How will he cut spending in Congress? He's not gonna cut any program in any state he had to promise something to to get thier votes. He will be going up against entrenched money and special interests that ain't gonna go easy. A line item veto is the only way to cut spending and that won't happen. A flat tax is the only fair way to tax and that ain't goin to fly. Does he realize that the top 2% of this country in earnings pay 80% of the taxes? It's class warfare at it's worst. | ||

I think there is alot of hate and jealousy in America when nationwide polling suggest such a wide range of negativity towards Barack Obama. Barack Obama is a truly gifted man of the likes we'll see maybe once every one hundred years. And to think that it's all in the name of protecting John McCain... the "good ole boy" who has the gull to suggest Barack Obama is not ready to be commander-in-chief... as if Barack is a little boy. John McCain has had ample time in the senate to change things in America, yet hasn't gotten it done yet. What makes him think he can do it now ? Sadly, America still has alot of growing up to do... as the rest of the world knows. | ||

While Obama should not be held accountble for the sermons of Rev. Wright. This is the man whom Barack had previously wrote about in his book referring to the reverend as "friend , mentor, leader, councilor.In June of last year at the 93rd annual Hampton University Ministers' Conference. In the first minutes of the video, Obama had this to say: "I've got to give a special shout-out to my pastor, the guy who puts up with me, counsels me, listens to my wife complain about me. He's a friend, and a great leader. Please everybody give an extraordinary welcome to my pastor, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Jr. ...Where he at? -There he is! That's him right there!" While Barack has the campaign sence not to repeat Wright's teachings, his wife lacks that ability to self-censure. Michelle has made multiple statement that were totally insulting to the majority of Americans. I find her insulting more so than Hillary and definitely would not want her as our first lady. Nor would I want her addressing foreign press and I'd lock her up if foreign dignitaries were in town unless of course they were from an African nation. | ||

Long overdue!Better late than never. I was curious about Obama as soon as his book came out.The concept it embodies is unique yet has always been with humanity. The difference being that now it is an idea/concept whose time has come, that is why the people of the USA have embraced it and are taking it places, not only for them but the entire world.This is making world History.This has come down on the American people like an inspiration and it is working. I love the American people, they are straight forward and blunt.Someone had to explore this spirit. The true American spirit.Thanks. NB. I think he would be a good president. He does a really good job with his speeches, and he do not feed into clinton negative responses. | I do not want Barack Obama for president. He is loathe to free trade and inconsistent on an energy policy. He has supported tariffs on imported sugar products to protect American sugar producers which keeps U.S. sugar prices twice as high as the world average. By keeping tariffs high, domestic sugar prices increase causing a mass exodus of domestic candy producers and thousands of jobs. Also, ethanol comes from many sources, sugar and corn most notably. When blended with gasoline, ethanol reduces green-house emissions and doesn't get depleted because it's made from biomass. Unfortunately, the ethanol we produce comes from a less than ideal source, corn. It is hard on the soil and corn ethanol's net energy balance, the energy corn ethanol yields in proportion to its production, is much lower than sugarcane ethanol which is cheaper to produce and generates eight times more energy per unit energy input compared to corn ethanol. In the 1970's, Brazil substituted sugar ethanol for oil and today, every gallon of gas in Brazil is blended with at least twenty per cent of ethanol from sugar and many of the cars there run on ethanol alone at half the price of gas. We could do the same, but it is not cost effective because the tariffs imposed on imported sugar make the price of domestic sugar prohibitively high. The Bush administration proposed eliminating these tariffs. Congress, along with a few Midwestern senators including Obama, vetoed this proposal. | ||

A team member from TX told me Barack is " All Hat and no cattle". Since I'm from Illinois I understand that to mean " He's a suit who's all talk with no record to substantiate anything he says. To this day the man cannot make a decision. He never did one thing for the state he supposedly promised to represent. His campaign is based on "change" and "hope ".
