The Biggest Losers: Celebrities Who Have Lost Over 50 Pounds!
Singer Jordin Sparks made a drastic lifestyle change to drop more than 50 pounds over two and a half years. In 2011 she told People magazine what her "secret" was: "It was just a shift in my thinking. Instead of talking about being more active, I just got up and did it. There's no secret. Anybody can do it."

The former "American Idol" star told Life & Style magazine that the extra weight was like carrying a 5-year-old child.

"By March of last year [2012], I lost 50. And then I maintained it for the rest of the year. I was in the gym all day long. When I got up I would hike, then I would g...

Simpson was joined by a host of other well-known figures, including Uma Thurman, Sigourney Weaver, and Lucy Liu.

Simpson appears in the 2013 film "Pawn Shop Chronicles" about a missing wedding ...

Just like regular folk, some celebrities have problems with their weight. They try everything to lose it - diet, exercise, and sometimes even surgery.

Singer Carnie Wilson had a gastric band fitted in January after gaining back the majority of the weight shed after a gastric bypass in 1999. She has since lost more than 30 pounds but admits going under the knife wasn't an easy solution.

She told the Today Show, "I was at the point where I did need intervention...I needed to take action. I needed to help myself again. What I feel now - I feel the sensation of being full quickly, which I was...

Celebrities, Barack Obama Respond To Clint Eastwood's 'Empty Chair' RNC Speech

Clint Eastwood
Clint Eastwood made a surprise visit to the Republican National Convention in Tampa Bay, Florida to give a speech - and celebrities have responded to the actor's odd "empty chair" sequence in which he asked questions to an empty chair that represented President Barack Obama.

Eastwood begins talking to a chair around 3:15 in the video

Olivia Munn tweeted, "Clint Eastwood was talking to an empty chair at the RNC … No, that’s not the set up to a joke. It’s not even a joke."

Star Jones wrote posted, "I can’t believe I just watched Clint Eastwood turn into somebody’s DRUNK UNCLE HARRY on th...

'Celebrity Apprentice' – The Finale - And The Winner is …

May 23rd, 2011 8:54pm EDT
THE CELEBRITY APPRENTICE
We start with Donald Trump bombastically proclaiming this season as, of course, the best season ever, thanks to him. Cue the unfolding of a red carpet for the Donald to strut along. Two poor fellows ran before him, unrolling a seemingly endless red carpet until it abruptly runs out, just before the entrance. As they fell to the ground, he tells them …. wait for it! … “You’re Fired.” Oh, that Donald …

We’re down to the Final Two – country star John Rich, and Academy Award winning actress, Marlee Matlin. When we left the duo last week, they were both enmeshed in the creation and production o...

Talking 'Celebrity Apprentice' With Marlee Matlin & John Rich

May 22nd, 2011 2:12pm EDT
Marlee Matlin
Tonight, NBC's latest edition of The Celebrity Apprentice comes to a close, with Oscar winner Marlee Matlin and country music star John Rich going head-to-head for the title and even more money for their respective charities. Before their showdown, both Marlee and John checked in with me to chat about their experiences on the show. They may be the two most gracious opponents I've ever interviewed.

(If you missed it earlier, you can also check out my earlier interview with fellow Celebrity Apprentice contestant Hope Dworaczyk.)

You've been tough competitors all season long. What do you...

We return to the lounge, where Lil Jon and John Rich are awaiting Trump’s decision. They know that Meat Loaf will give as good as he gets, but worry that Star will triumph again. They are ecstatic to see Meat. But Marlee, the other survivor, is teary and upset. She’s lost her team mate, and the win for her charity. Meat Loaf tries to cheer her up, but she clearly would have preferred Star to remain.

'The Celebrity Apprentice' – Laugh On – Recap May 8

The Celebrity Apprentice
So last week, the teams organized “hair” shows, and NeNe Leakes declared war on Star Jones. LaToya Jackson came back, and joined the men’s team. Hope Dworaczyk was pronounced weak and fired.

This week: Continuing from the end of last week’s BoardRoom, we see Lil Jon and John Rich relaxing with LaToya and Marlee Matlin. The men are delighted to have LaToya on their team, but Marlee interviews that she doesn’t think it’s fair that LaToya not only was allowed to come back, but was assigned to work with the men. When Star and NeNe enter the room, NeNe hugs LaToya, but Star grabs her things an...

After briefly recapping last week’s debacle, it’s time to have a look at the celebrity line-up for this, the ninth episode. Minus castoff LaToya Jackson, Team ASAP is down to 4 ladies; Nene Leakes, Star Jones, Marlee Matlin, and Hope Dworaczyk. The men, Team BackBone, have 3 members; John Rich, Meat Loaf and Lil Jon.

We join John Rich as he visits a patient from St. Jude’s Hospital. He presents a check for $649,900. That’s a chunk of change that the families of the littlest patients can really use.

This week, the celebrities have gathered in a parking garage, where they meet up with Donal...

We’re back in the Party Room, just after losing Gary Busey last week. NeNe Leakes is still sulking about LaToya Jackson not wanting to be her best friend, and Star Jones greets the men of BackBone as they file in for a much needed drink. Meat Loaf and Lil Jon tell the ladies of ASAP a few Busey stories. The men seem almost giggly in their relief. John Rich joins both teams in a toast to a great race.

Hope Dworaczyk brings her check to her visit with Best Buddies, a charity she supports.

Keeping a team member in play when no one else wants to work with them will damage your overall energy. At Team Backbone this week, John Rich, Lil John, and Meat Loaf were working against a total, soul-sucking, energy hole. The fact that they could even raise their heads enough to try to bring the challenge in was a tribute to each of their commitments to their charities.

Continuing from last week’s firing of Mark McGrath, Backbone was visibly stunned to see Gary Busey walk through the door. Meat Loaf and Lil Jon were clearly unhappy, while John Rich went to a safe place in his mind, decid...

This week: Pirates me Maties! Hope doesn’t show her biggest assets, and paranoia runs deep for LaToya. Oh yeah, and Busey’s STILL here.

Week 5 and I am now having recurring nightmares of Donald Trump’s weird lip movements. Last week, the teams made ‘art’, and sold it for record amounts. Meat Loaf spectacularly lost his temper on Gary Busey for no real reason, and Richard Hatch got the boot, despite the entire team wanting Busey gone. We can only go up from here, right?

Five celebrities now remain per team. LaToya Jackson, realizing that her team think her ineffective and weak, is determin...

We return to the aftermath of Dionne Warwick’s leaving last week, as the two teams gather. 'The Celebrity Apprentice' Teams Are 'Unhappy Campers'
Week Three of The Celebrity Apprentice brings with it the big question that audiences are flooding the Internet to ask: will the Donald continue to encourage and reward the bullies of the teams? Weeks One and Two quite clearly showed that Richard Hatch, Star Jones, and even dowager Dionne Warwick, are using the series to pump up their own sadly deflated careers, instead of putting the charities, for which they are nominally playing, to the forefront.

But this week, Richard, Star and Dionne flew way under the radar. The challenge: create an outdoor camping experience – “Camping in the 21st ...

To a man chained in a dark cave for all of his life, reality is darkness - it is not until he is freed that his perception of reality is changed. Now, imagine that instead of darkness, this prisoner was forced to watch women on reality TV.

Okay, so maybe I'm reaching, but the fact remains that women in reality television are generally presented as backstabbers that cannot get along. These women also jump at the chance to switch over to the men's team, if the opportunity presents itself. "Finally, I don't have to deal with...

Couples around the world struggle to keep their marriages intact. Each partner painstakingly tries to stay afloat. In Hollywood, the concept of a "successful" marriage is damn near extinct.

Hollywood divorce pops up more often than new reality television, while the relationships themselves are even more disturbing. The happy Hollywood marriage is a fable, disappearing like the VHS video or Chevy Chase's career. Infidelity among these couples is rampant (and as never-ending) as the Saw sequels.

So instead of writing about failed Hollywood marriages, we're opting for a predictive...
