Danny DeVito, Rhea Perlman & 5 Other Longtime Famous Couples Who Split Up

October 8th, 2012 6:00pm EDT
Danny DeVito & Rhea Perlman
The news that Danny DeVito, 67, and Rhea Perlman, 64, split after a staggering 30 years together shocked fans around the world this morning. The couple, who have three children together, met after Rhea saw the actor in a play in 1971. They got married in 1982.

No reason was given for the split, but according to AARP, extramarital affairs for people 45 and older are relatively rare. So the odds that Danny or Rhea met someone else is likely not the cause of their break up.

Some relationships just fizzle out over time. Sometimes a couple's personal issues intensify. Most typically, a husband...

'30 Rock' To End After Next Season

May 11th, 2012 11:45am EDT
30 Rock
Tina Fey's hit comedy 30 Rock will come to an end after one more season.

The series has been a critical smash since it first aired in 2006, and has won a string of Emmys and Golden Globe awards.

It was reported Fey's co-star Alec Baldwin was leaving the hit show earlier this year, but bosses at NBC have confirmed the main cast will all return for a seventh and final run.

The move comes amid falling ratings for the show, which has attracted star cameos from Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Aniston, Susan Sarandon, Matt Damon and environment campaigner Al Gore.

When asked by a fan on Twitter.c...

Al Gore Cleared Over Sexual Abuse Claims

July 31st, 2010 11:04am EDT
Al Gore
Former Vice President Al Gore has been cleared over allegations of sexual abuse stemming from a 2006 incident due to a "lack of credible evidence."

Officers in Portland, Oregon announced in June they were reopening an investigation into claims Gore inappropriately touched masseuse Molly Hagerty during a massage session at a hotel in October 2006.

Hagerty reportedly gave a police statement in 2009, but authorities were said to have dropped the investigation at the time due to "insufficient evidence to support the allegations".

A rep for Gore vehemently denied the claims, insisting a new i...

Al Gore's Rep Slams Sexual Assault Claims

July 1st, 2010 8:11am EDT
Al Gore
A representative for former vice president Al Gore has issued a statement to "unequivocally and emphatically" deny allegations the politician groped a masseuse in 2006 after police reopened their investigation into the matter.

Last week, the National Enquirer revealed masseuse Molly Hagerty gave a statement to police last year accusing Gore of "unwanted sexual contact" during a massage session at a hotel in October, 2006.

Cops didn't investigate the matter further at the time due to "insufficient evidence to support the allegations" as the accuser refused to be interviewed by police. Of...

"We're Not Pointing Fingers, But We Need To Know Exactly What Happened," Coleman's Parents Tell 'PEOPLE' Exclusively

"Diffrent Strokes" child star Gary Coleman charmed a generation of fans in the 1980s. During his brief life, the actor felt chronically betrayed: by the Hollywood community he felt had turned its back on him; by the parents he once believed mishandled his fortune; by his own failing body, which chained him to dialysis for decades. After years of health woes and career disappointments, he died estranged from his family and embroiled in a troubled marriage to Shannon Price, 24...

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies 8/9/09 - 8/15/09

August 10th, 2009 9:57am EDT
District 9
I finally saw the Sam Mendes dramedy "Away We Go" starring Maya Rudolph and John Krasinski. The film is thoroughly enjoyable with its highs and its lows sharing equal poignancy. It is the perfect hybrid of a drama and a comedy.

Music throughout the film is spot on, appropriate in each instance for the emotions the filmmakers are trying to convey. Rudolph and Krasinski have a wonderful chemistry as husband and wife and engage in hilarious interactions with the other couples in the movie. Krasinski plays the role of Burt with a dopey charm that's hard not to love.

Leonardo DiCaprio
It's a bird. It's a plane. It's... Leonardo DiCaprio? Earthlings, take note: April 22 marks Earth Day, a day of national environmental recognition. In the last decade, environmental awareness has grown by leaps and bounds, and many celebrities have visibly thrown their support behind the planet.

Though it may currently be trendy, Kermit the Frog said it best: It ain't easy being green. Committing to be more conscious environmentally takes sacrifice, dedication and consistency. We should all stop a moment - April 22 is as good a day as any - and examine our lifestyles and what changes, ...

Low Times Mean Good Times With Andy Kindler, Part 1

Andy Kindler
There seems to be a relationship between the state of comedian Andy Kindler's career and the state of American culture. The worse the economy, the less informative the news, and the poorer the satire, the more opportunities Andy gets. This past month alone Andy has been on Letterman, Comedy Central's The Root of all Evil, and was even profiled by the LA Times. "To a man like me," says Andy, "Who brings joy to the non-masses, I'm going to be able to profit during down times." What's down, what's coming, and what's funny about it is the subject of this Starpulse Q and A with comedian Andy Kin...

"The Grammys at 50 are showing their age," crows the latest headline from Newsday. Have the Grammys ever showed anything but?
