Colin Firth despises the festive season so much he can't listen to the radio in December - because Christmas music makes him furious. Nicolas Cage will be spending the holidays in Bath, England, because he has always dreamed of a Dickensian Christmas.
The actor, a lifelong fan of author Charles Dickens, is turning his back on Tinseltown and the starry beaches of the Caribbean and heading for a winter retreat in the ancient English city.

Sean Connery Backs Bid To Win Historic Scottish Archive
Sean Connery has lent his support to win back a renowned literary archive for the National Library of Scotland. Connery joins crime writer Ian Rankin in the fight for the John Murray Archive, which contains manuscripts and letters from Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, Lord Byron and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
The Murray family agreed to sell the collection to the national library for a discounted price of $64 million in order for the public to enjoy the works, however another $9.75 million is needed to secure the historic archive.
