Robert De Niro Tears Up Talking Bipolar Disorder On 'Katie'

Robert De Niro found it difficult to talk about his role in Silver Linings Playbook without crying.

The accalimed actor sat down with co-star Bradley Cooper and director David Russell to discuss the Oscar nominated film with Katie Couric. Russell's son suffers from Bipolar Disorder, which in turn inspiried the director to make the film. In the movie, Bradley Cooper plays a man with the same disorder.

The iconic TV host picked her up in his Lincoln Town Car and treated her to dinner at an Italian restauraunt.

The former "Today" show host, now 56, remembered: "I was about 30 years old and I was in this period of my life w...

$16 Million Contract Puts Britney Spears On TV's Top Paid List - Behind Judge Judy

May 10th, 2012 11:03am EDT
Britney Spears
Britney Spears is reportedly set to rake in $16 million as a judge on The X Factor, but the incredible amount isn't nearly enough to put her on top of TV's best paid list.

Assuming The X Factor has the same amount of episodes this season (26), Spears would pocket a bit over $615,000 an episode. That makes her the second highest paid per episode in primetime currently - Ashton Kutcher makes $700,000 an episode for Two and a Half Men. She is also far behind predecessor Charlie Sheen's whopping $1.2 million an episode. It would put her ahead of William Petersen's previous salary on CSI ($600,...

Fashion Fails Of The Week: Lump Of Coal Edition

December 19th, 2011 12:00pm EST
Charlize Theron
We spend so much time admiring the stars who wear their best fashion when out and about, it's only fair to point out those who failed. This time of year, that means they're getting a lump of coal in their fashion stocking!

Charlize Theron appeared at the premiere of Young Adult in this black and white Stella McCartney dress. It starts off okay as a black one-shoulder dress, but it gets progressively confusing as it goes on. Mesh to black, then swirling into a white bottom with bad hem job? We don't get it.

We love Katy Perry's hair, but the pink and black outfit she wore to the launch o...

Will Katie Couric And Matt Lauer Reunite?

April 12th, 2011 11:30am EDT
Katie Couric And Matt Lauer
Fans of the ‘Today’ show of yesteryear might be having a cow right about now, as Bart Simpson would say.

Word on the street – or at least in the New York Times – is that Katie Couric and Matt Lauer might reunite for a syndicated talk show in a year or two.

That’s a big maybe, but surely syndicators’ mouths are watering at the thought. It’s widely known Katie Couric is unlikely to renew her contract with CBS News for her anchor job when her five-year contract expires this summer. ‘Today’ host Lauer is said to be mulling a departure from that program at the end of his contract in December...

November 4th, 2008 12:41pm EST
Election comedy humor
Political humor has always been a mainstay of stand-up, late night, and sitcom writers. And the ratings always skyrocket in the year of a Presidential election, thanks to gaffes and guest appearances (and sometimes we’re lucky enough to have a few candidates with a sense of humor).

With every presidential race determined to be the most important of all, it's imperative that we as Americans take a step back and laugh at the process of selecting our President - as well as the "characters" seeking that office.

So who offers the best fodder for the next four years? Let’s take a look:...

I'm an avid fan of "Survivor." I have been since the first episode of the first season. What's not to love? With the amount of scheming, deception and backstabbing, I always found myself thinking of people that I would want to see wasting away on "Survivor." This list usually included people that I intensely disliked because the experience can be tough on some people.

I have assembled my list of celebrities, historical figures and fictional characters that I would love to have on my island. The latest season had 16 people, so that's the number I'm going with.
