A Chelsea Clinton Story

August 1st, 2010 6:04pm EDT
Chelsea Clinton
With Chelsea Clinton getting married this weekend, we felt it topical to share our only firsthand account of being in the presence of Ms. Clinton.

Back in the winter of 2006 we had just walked into Von on Bleecker Street. As we said hello to friends who were already there, we immediately overheard others in the bar trying to quietly boast to their friends that Chelsea Clinton was in the back on the bar.

"Meh..." was our initial reaction to hearing of the possibility of Clinton being there.

Then we wondered about what Ms. Clinton looked like in person and decided that should she act...

A few behind the scene tidbits from the evening:

- Kim Kardashian flew into D.C. with Ryan Seacrest just to do a last-minute interview. Without an outfit planned, she scrambled and borrowed her mother?s vintage Valentino black and white piece, ordered room service when she checked into the hotel, asked her twitter followers how they tho...

Craziest Athletes Of All Time

Remember when athletes were just outrageous? They would say outlandish things like when Charles Barkley said, "Man, everything gets blamed on the Clintons, every single thing in this world. I think Bill Clinton shot JFK, too." And they would do outrageous things like when Deion Sanders decided to create an MC Hammer-like persona called "Prime Time" and wear pimp suits and flashy jewelry. These days athletes are beyond outrageous, they're cuckoo. From shooting themselves at night clubs with their own guns to assaulting their TV personality girlfriends, today's athletes are just crazy. Election Movies: When Real Life Campaign Drama Isn't Enough

September 11th, 2008 9:30am EDT
Election
Somehow, if you think that the American political system doesn't have enough pageantry or drama, the only possible place for you to turn are the movies. You can find a campaign movie for just about every level of politics. For the most part, they all tell the same story. You have your candidate, and there's an election going on, and from high school to the presidency, there's going to be a debate on using negative campaigning, a starry-eyed speech about sticking to your ethics, and then some sort of sex scandal. Sounds about right.

Election (1999)

It seems that the chance for a pe...

Celebrities are no strangers to scandals, but sometimes they are known more for the elusive incidents rather than their career. Here are the top celebrity scandals:

NBA star Kobe Bryant's sexual assault case in Colorado.

Kobe was arrested in 2003 in Eagle, Colorado at The Lodge and Spa at Cordillera after a nineteen year employee accused him of rape. After Kobe admitted to the sexual encounter and bought his wife an enormous rock so she'd forgive him for cheating on her, the assault case was dropped.

Choosing 10 of the show's best cast members is not a task to be taken lightly. We looked at what qualities go into making a perfect cast member as opposed to just picking performers who went on to greater fame after they left the show (though sometimes this happened anyw...

Ignoring Old Show-Business Rules, Rolling Stones Brightly 'Shine a Light'

Shine a Light
(HollywoodChicago.com) – In The Beatles versus The Rolling Stones debate (which no one under 40 would have), I’m decidedly in the corner of the Fab Four. I do acknowledge, however, the sheer stamina and staying power of The Rolling Stones.

They are charismatic and charming at the same time and their history of powerful classic songs gives them a magic credibility few bands have attained. In their latest concert film – the Martin Scorsese-directed “Shine a Light” – they bring their best as they are right now despite qualifying for social security.

Video Game Review: 'Singstar' Series Brings Karaoke Home

Singstar 90s
Oh, the '90s. Too young to be considered hip in an ironic and nostalgic way, it currently sits in the awkward phase, awaiting d-list comedians to show up at VH1 with their best Bill Clinton jokes tucked away for such an occasion. While the decade gave us some spectacular artists like Beck and Nirvana, it also offered the dregs of the musical society with Chumbawamba and MC Hammer. Singstar: '90s has a collection of both worlds, offering the chance to croon along with some of your favorite songs and videos – then cringe at the hilariously bad tunes and their awkward visual pieces.

Former President Bill Clinton has demanded a New York restaurateur remove a photograph of his daughter Chelsea from his wall of celebrities.

Clinton's lawyers have fired off a letter to the owner of Italian restaurant Osso Buco, insisting he takes a snapshot of Chelsea down - even though she agreed to pose with the owner.

Her dad claims his daughter was "not consulted" before the five-year-old photo was displayed. The Bosnian restaurateur is shocked by the letter and insists he would have taken the photograph down if Chelsea or her father had asked him to.
