R&B hunk Usher has released a new song urging his fans to vote in the upcoming presidential election on November 4. The singer has debuted "Hush" on as part of his continued national call-to-service for young people.

Usher, who is the youth chairman of the Service Nation Summit - attended by over 500 Service Leaders including John McCain, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Laura Bush - will donate a portion of the proceeds to charity group the New Look Organization.

Richard Dreyfuss is in negotiations to complete the all-star cast of Oliver Stone's George W. Bush biopic "W" and play Vice-President Dick Cheney.

Josh Brolin and Elizabeth Banks have already signed on to play the President and First Lady Laura Bush, and Thandie Newton and Scott Glenn will play Condoleezza Rice and Donald Rumsfeld, respectively.

The film started shooting earlier this week in Shreveport, Louisiana, and is scheduled to hit the big screen in October.

The Hollywood Reporter claims Screen Actors Guild union bosses have granted Stone a special waiver to continue...

Oliver Stone's George W. Bush movie will be released while the U.S. President is still in office. Lionsgate studio bosses have confirmed W will start filming in Louisiana on Monday, and the movie will hit cinemas in October - just before the general election to find Bush's successor.

W stars Josh Brolin as George W. Bush, Elizabeth Banks as First Lady Laura Bush, James Cromwell as George Herbert Walker Bush and Ellen Burstyn as Barbara Bush.

A day after the cast was set for Oliver Stone's upcoming political biopic of U.S. President George W. Bush, C. Thomas Howell has signed up to play the American leader in a comedy. While No Country For Old Men star Josh Brolin will play Bush in Stone's drama W. Soul Man star Howell will portray the President in new political satire Commander-And-Chief.

Directed by Gerson Sanginitto, the comedy can only loosely suggest Howell is Bush, because of the content of the film, but a movie spokesperson says, "There's no mistaking who he is supposed to be."

Laura Bush Had Tumor Removed From Leg

President George W. Bush's wife Laura had a cancerous tumor removed from her leg last month. The First Lady noticed a small sore on her shin which refused to heal and was told by doctors it was a squamous cell carcinoma. Bush was forced to undergo minor surgery on November 7.

Her spokesperson Susan Whitson says, "Because of Mrs. Bush's early detection and treatment the area on her leg is healing. She's continually had it checked, the check-ups are good. Everything seems to be fine."

Crusading actress Susan Sarandon gave up her Mother's Day yesterday to spend it with the protesting parents of soldiers in Iraq. Accompanied by anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan, whose son died in the conflict, Sarandon addressed a 24-hour vigil opposite the White House by reading out a letter she had written to First Lady Laura Bush.

She also brandished a copy of the board game Risk to highlight the dangerous plight of U.S. soldiers serving abroad. Her letter called on the president's wife to force George W. Bush to personally notify mothers that their sons had been killed in action.
