	I see that you are coming to my city, Grand Junction, to do a story on our health care system. I hope you intend to include what happens when a Dr. here closes his office for whatever reason. If you happen to have Medicare as your ONLY form of insurance and you have to go "doc shopping" you hear "We are accepting patients on a case-by-case basis." After you drive, bus or beg a ride to each Dr. office to fill out the medical history papers you wait 2-3 days to hear that they will not be able to accept you a patient at this time. If you check with one of the local news papers, the Free Press, they did a story on this problem a year or so ago and it has only worsened with time. My Dr. gave up his practice and I was only accepted by St. Mary Fam Prac. after the people at Comm Hosp ER got their Soc Serv type person to call them. since I was there for the second time JUST TO GET X@@##! REFILLS CALLED IN! I would not consider this a wildly successful system. Of course you will only be shown those who actually get to see the Dr.s when you visit, unless you advertise for us to come out and talk.
