Anne Hathaway 'At A Loss For Words' Over 'Dark Knight' Movie Massacre

Anne Hathaway, who plays Catwoman in "The Dark Knight Rises," has responded to the the senseless massacre at a Colorado screening of her new movie.

A statement from the actress reads: "My heart aches and breaks for the lives taken and altered by this unfathomably senseless act. I am at a loss for words how to express my sorrow. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families."

Director Christopher Nolan, actor Christian Bale and composer Hans Zimmer have also expressed their sympathy for the families and the victims.

Movie composer Hans Zimmer has been left "devastated" by the Colorado cinema massacre, revealing the tragedy has wrecked what should have been a weekend of celebration for himself and the cast and crew of The Dark Knight Rises.

The Oscar-winning maestro created the score for the film, which was playing when gunman James Holmes opened fire in an Aurora cinema just after midnight on Friday morning, killing 12 and injuring almost 60 film fans.
