Kid Rock On Twitter: 'It's Gay'

July 29th, 2009 11:31am EDT
Kid Rock
Kid Rock is not a big fan of Twitter, apparently. Despite a user posing as Kid Rock on Twitter - the fact that his mug shot is the user avatar should clue you in that it's a fake - the self-proclaimed "American Bad Ass" has not kind words for the site.

"It's gay. If one more person asks me if I have a Twitter, I'm going to tell them, 'Twitter this [expletive], [expletive],' I don't have anything to say, and what I have to say is not that relevant. Anything that is relevant, I'm going to bottle it up and then squeeze it onto a record somewhere." He told Page Six.

Most recently, Kid Roc...

Solo Artists: Most Underrated And Overrated

May 16th, 2008 10:52am EDT
Bob Marley
In one week, "American Idol" will add one more solo artist to the music history.

Whoever it is, they have their work cut out for them. America has a penchant for producing legendary solo artists. People like Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and Marvin Gaye all came from America. Britain may have the monopoly on bands with the likes of The Beatles, The Who, and The Rolling Stones, but our sense of Independence has allowed us to produce the best solo acts of all time.

Still, some of these solo artists have received glowing reviews when completely unwarranted. Others have been nearly...

Rhino Reissues Warren Zevon's 'Excitable Boy,' 'Stand In The Fire,' And 'The Envoy' March 27

March 14th, 2007 8:00pm EDT
Warren Zevon
Like no other singer-songwriter of his generation, Warren Zevon addressed murder, desperate passion, espionage, crippling loneliness, and f----you excess with a lethal wit and confessional grace that remain unrivaled. When the singer-songwriter-pianist succumbed to lung cancer in 2003, the music world lost a truly original voice. Rhino honors Zevon's brilliant lyrics, poignant melodies, withering wit, and devastating satire with a trio of reissues that revisit two of his finest studio efforts, plus a stunning live album. Remastered and expanded with previously unreleased bonus tracks, Excit...

Pete Yorn Headlines The South In Support Of Latest Album, "Nightcrawler"

October 6th, 2006 10:41am EDT
Pete Yorn
For Nightcrawler, his first new studio album in three years, rocker Pete Yorn explores, and brings full circle, the day-for-life metaphor (morning-day-night) which began with his RIAA gold-certified debut album, musicforthemorningafter, in 2001 and continued through 2003's Day I Forgot. "This new record is not so much for the night," says Pete, "but for a later period in my life. The perspective I have comes from having lived more and experienced more."

Nightcrawler, which premieres a dozen brand-new songs, is perhaps the most musically complex and fully realized album of Pete's caree...
