the bird and the bee, the irrepressible L.A. duo made up of singer Inara George and keyboardist/producer Greg Kurstin, have announced that they will hit the road for a short run of U.S. tour dates on the heels of the January 27 release of Ray Guns Are Not Just The Future, their second full-length album, which finds them charting new sonic terrain as they take their stylish '60s pop and Brazilian influence deeper into the psychedelic period of rock and the Tropicalia era.

Mindi Abair, saxophonist/vocalist/composer is set to release her first Peak Records (a division of Concord Music Group) CD titled Stars on May 6, bursting on to the pop scene as one of an exciting new generation of crossover artists. Singer-songwriter Sia is a new singer from Australia, and her new album "Some People Have Real Problems" is a real must-hear. She's relatively new in the United States but already established a rather successful career overseas.

Atlantic recording artists Zero 7 have announced details of their upcoming North American tour. The dates come in support of the UK-based duo's critically celebrated third album, The Garden (click for review).

The tour will see Zero 7, a.k.a. Sam Hardaker and Henry Binns, joined onstage by a full four-piece backing band and two extraordinary vocalists -- longtime collaborator Sia Furler and Swedish singer/songwriter José González.
