Songs That Are Crazy!

March 1st, 2015 2:30pm EST
15 Songs With The Word Crazy - The Craziest Songs Ever!
Some songs are sane while others are bleeping CRAZY! There is no sanity to be found here as these are the craziest songs ever, like “forever ever.” Well… maybe it’s a slight exaggeration, but you can’t have crazy songs without embracing your own inner craziness – that’s gospel truth right there! Here are 14 of the craziest songs ever.

1) Paul Simon, “Still Crazy After All These Years” (Still Crazy After All These Years, 1975)

Paul, we don’t think you’re the least bit crazy, unless it’s a ‘crazy good accomplished veteran musician that is! When you hear “Still Crazy After All These Year...

10 Darkest Musical Personalities

October 25th, 2014 8:00pm EDT
10 Darkest Musical Personalities
No matter how warm and fuzzy a song like Pharrell Williams’ “Happy” makes everyone feel on the inside, not all musicians have the same optimism and ‘good vibes’ of the multifaceted musician. Some find their best inspiration in dark things – blackness, the grotesque, and sometimes the hellish (cue the sound effects now!). The definition of ‘dark’ is broad, and all 10 of the ‘darkest’ musicians that grace this list possess their own style. What they all have in common is, they are known for their intensely dark musical personalities.

1) Marilyn Manson

Boy, oh boy! Phew, could anyo...

'Maroon 5' Earns Second #1 Album With ‘V’: This Week In Music

September 11th, 2014 8:32am EDT
'Maroon 5' Earns Second #1 Album With ‘V’: This Week In Music
Expectedly, rock/pop band Maroon 5 debut atop the Billboard 200 with their fifth studio album, V. Until V arrived, it had been seven years since Maroon 5 first reached the penthouse of the Billboard Album Charts, when It Won’t Be Soon Before Long sold a robust 429,000 copies. V doesn’t open nearly as hot, but does sell a respectable 164,000 copies. Those numbers are in line with other first-week sales in 2014, including Ariana Grande’s My Everything (#1, 169,000) Sam Smith’s In the Lonely Hour (#2, 166,000).

Thankfully, Maroon 5 wouldn’t be the only big name dropping respectable number...

Review: Jeezy Keeps It Real On 'Seen It All'

September 3rd, 2014 12:53pm EDT
Review: Jeezy Keeps It Real On 'Seen It All'
The best way to describe rapper Jeezy is blunt. Jeezy is a ‘no BS’ dude, who calls it like he sees it. This has occurred every album he’s dropped, but may be particularly true of latest effort, Seen It All: The Autobiography. Anytime ‘autobiography’ is involved, the expectation is for the artist to reach deeper than ever into their personal story. While Jeezy comes off overconfident at times, he’s brutally honest, true to his artistry.

“1/4 Block” opens the album in druggy fashion – it’s about hustling cocaine. Besides the “quarter block,” references to cocaine come by way of lyrics ...

Sure, the fourth quarter sales madness isn’t in full fruition yet, but with names like Maroon 5, Jeezy, and The Counting Crows dropping new albums, the door to a stacked fourth quarter have been officially and enthusiastically opened. No album on this five-album list seems any bigger than Maroon 5’s V, which leads albums to check out this week.

1) Maroon 5, V (Interscope)

Supremely popular pop/rock band Maroon 5 returns with their highly anticipated fifth studio album V. V is led by promo single “Maps,” which peaked in ...

The Bush Administration: A Musical Tribute

January 14th, 2009 9:21am EST
George W. Bush
It's been a long eight years for America…longer for some than others (see New Orleans). Luckily, we have some very creative musical artists out there suffering along with us. For them, the first amendment is expressed through their music.

These 30 selections may relate to the War in Iraq, the Katrina debacle, our shaky mantle as "The Greatest Country In The World," our desire to have a President smarter than us (see "nucular"), and the list goes on.

As we all hopefully look forward to our next President, let's take one last look back (and good-bye) at George W. Bush, and some so...
