October 9th, 2009 5:00pm EDT
Singing Celebs
If you are a typical celebrity you usually do not have many abilities except for looking good and possibly acting. But you should not be singing. However, some celebs get ahead of themselves and think since they are so good looking they can do anything.

Singing is a skill that develops over time and takes years to perfect. Just because you are a celebrity does not mean you have the ability to sing.

Heidi Pratt is a prime example of a celeb that has no business trying to sing and dance. Beyonce Knowles has trained for years to become one of the best entertainers in the world, and Hei...

Music Review: Say Anything's 'In Defense Of The Genre' Satisfies, Challenges Listeners

October 22nd, 2007 3:09pm EDT
Say Anything
Say Anything’s ...Is A Real Boy caught most of the music scene off-guard, despite the buzz rumbling from inside the genre (rock, punk? does it matter?). Full of desperate lyrics that cut into cliques of people and music, frontman Max Bemis poured his life and well-being into the album – he recorded every instrument except drums - and a few years after the album’s release he was admitted into a hospital with bi-polar illness. With the illness mostly behind him, Bemis re-grouped and wrote another giant concept album, In Defense of the Genre.

The only thing more staggering than the two-CD...

Pete Yorn Headlines The South In Support Of Latest Album, "Nightcrawler"

October 6th, 2006 10:41am EDT
Pete Yorn
For Nightcrawler, his first new studio album in three years, rocker Pete Yorn explores, and brings full circle, the day-for-life metaphor (morning-day-night) which began with his RIAA gold-certified debut album, musicforthemorningafter, in 2001 and continued through 2003's Day I Forgot. "This new record is not so much for the night," says Pete, "but for a later period in my life. The perspective I have comes from having lived more and experienced more."

Ex-Replacements Paul Westerberg Releases Soundtrack to "Open Season"

September 19th, 2006 5:42pm EDT
Open Season

And since 1991, he's maintained a solo career that would make most of his peers green with envy, if critically-acclaimed albums and fan respect still have anything to do with the equation.

Open Season; Featur...
