Dwight Yoakam In Trouble With The Tax Man

Country star Dwight Yoakam is facing a massive $458,000 tax bill after allegedly falling behind on his payments.

Bosses at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) filed a lien against Yoakam at the Los Angeles County Records of Deeds in January.

Yoakam is said to owe $457,873 in delinquent federal taxes, according to the Detroit News.

A representative for the Grammy winner was unavailable for comment as WENN went to press.

Jason Statham To 'Crank' It Up Again

Action man Jason Statham is set for another sequel - he'll reprise his fast-living and dying Chev Chelios character in "Crank 2: High Voltage."

The star played a hitman seeking an antidote to the poison villains injected into his system, giving him just hours to live, in the first Crank, which was a surprise hit in 2006.

Statham will reteam with Amy Smart and Dwight Yoakam in the sequel, which will also feature Bai Ling. Filming begins next week in Los Angeles.

Tim McGraw & Dwight Yoakam Sign Up For John Favreau's Festive Film

Country stars Tim McGraw and Dwight Yoakam have joined the cast of Jon Favreau's new festive comedy Four Christmases. McGraw will play a bullying brother to Favreau and his Swingers co-star Vince Vaughn, while Yoakam will play a pastor in the movie.

Shooting has already started on the all-star project, which also features Reese Witherspoon, Mary Steenburgen, Sissy Spacek, Kristin Chenoweth and Robert Duvall.

Country duo The Judds are to play their first full-length concert in seven years at the second Stagecoach country music festival in California next year. The group, fronted by mother-and-daughter singers Naomi and Wynonna Judd, became a big ticket act in the 1980s and early 1990s.

They reunited for a tour in 1999 and 2000 and have since performed brief sets together a couple of times, including a gig at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. last year.

Dwight Yoakam Pays Tribute To Buck Owens On New Album

Country star Dwight Yoakam is to pay tribute to his late hero Buck Owens on a new album of covers. Dwight Sings Buck features all of Owens' top five country hits, including Act Naturally and I Don't Care (Just As Long As You Love Me).

Yoakam says, "After his death, it was the clearest way I could express my love for him and acknowledge the depth of our friendship."

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Buck Owens American Music Foundation, which serves to safeguard Owens' legacy.

Owens died in March.
