Greek new age music star Yanni has thanked his fans for their unfaltering support after he was falsely accused of hitting girlfriend Sylvia Barthes. Yanni spent 11 hours in a Florida jail after the March incident that saw him only grab Barthes' arm - but his fans never doubted his innocence.

Acclaimed pianist Yanni is facing a domestic battery charge after he was arrested at his Florida home in the early hours of Friday, March 3. The star, whose full name is John Yanni Christopher, denies hurting his 33-year-old girlfriend Silvia Barthes during the dispute at his Manalapan house.
