Will Fans Enjoy Jamie Foxx’s New Album?

Review: Jamie Foxx Keeps Things Sensual On ‘Hollywood’
How does one characterize Jamie Foxx? The best way to describe Foxx is as multitalented. He is one of few actors – an Academy Award winner by the way – who can convincingly play dramatic roles as well as comedic roles. Furthermore, Foxx is one of few actors who has nailed the ‘musician’ thing – he’s a classically trained pianist with golden pipes.

After a five-year hiatus between albums, Foxx returns with his most sensually driven lengthily titled album yet, Hollywood: A Story of a Dozen Roses. Has the 47-year old Foxx lost his swag? Nope, not in the least – perhaps he overdoes the ‘sw...

The 40 Best Songs of 2014

Well, little, though the honorable judge’s prudent words can be transformed into relevancy for the music industry: “Album sales fade, but songs continue forever.” In other words, while albums are selling horridly, songs themselves continue to flourish and dominate the music industry.

Limiting a list to just 40 songs is tough, given the number of great songs that characterize 2014. That means there will be omissions – maybe even big-time snubs – stones might be throw...
