Frozen soundtrack shows no sign of thawing at the top of the U.S charts

The Frozen soundtrack has landed a 10th week at number one on the U.S. album chart.

Over 133,000 copies were sold in the past week, taking the album's tally past the two million mark.

The soundtrack, which features 2014's Best Song Oscar winner Let It Go by Idina Menzel, is now one of just 11 albums to have spent at least 10 weeks at the top of the Billboard 200 since the new chart era began in 1991. Only four of those 11 albums have been soundtracks: Frozen, The Bodyguard, Titanic and The Lion King, which also spent 10 weeks at number one.

Happy is an uplifting tune, but Pharrell can't help but cry when he watches people enjoy his song.

The singer sat down with Oprah to talk about his album G I R L and the worldwide hit, explaining the song didn't get any traction until he released the music video.

Happy first appeared on Despicable Me 2's soundtrack last June, but it didn't receive much attention until November when a 24 hour music video was created using various celebrities dancing around Los Angeles. Pharrell Williams had a little 'bling' in his step during his appearance on U.S. TV show Saturday Night Live at the weekend (05Apr14) - his dazzling Adidas sneakers were covered with Swarovski crystals.

Designers at the company custom made the shoes for the Happy hitmaker, using more than 1,600 crystals.
