Birth Place: Los Angeles, California, United States
Years Active: 1995-2003
Genres: West Coast Hip Hop, Gangsta Rap

Westside Connection is a gangsta rap group formed by Ice Cube, WC, and Mack 10, based out of Los Angeles. The group's debut album, “Bow Down,” peaked at #2 on Billboard's Hot 200 chart in 1996; the album also hit platinum status later that year. The rap trio came together in 1994 when WC an Ice Cube worked on Mack 10's self-titled debut album, “Mack 10,” for the track “Westside Slaughterhouse.” The trio clicked musically and came together again for WC's album, “Curb Servin',” on the track “West Up!” By this time the trio knew that they wanted to write rhymes together and began working on material for their debut album, “Bow Down.”

Aside from their solo careers and working together as Westside Connection, the trio has contributed tracks to feature films: “Bangin'” for “West Coast Bad Boyz II,” “Let It Reign” for “Thicker than Water,” and “It's The Holidaze” for “Friday After Next.” 2003 saw the trio's second offering appear, “Terrorist Threats,” which spawned the hit single “Gangsta Nation.” 2005 saw Mack 10 leave the group due to a conflict with Ice Cube. Since then the group have remained inactive.
