The Verve Pipe is a rock band from East Lansing, Michigan formed in 1992 by Brian and Brad Vander Ark, Brian Stout and Donny Brown. The band released their debut album, “I've Suffered a Head Injury,” in 1992 and began playing local college towns and building up a strong following. Stout left the band before the release of their second offering, “Pop Smear,” in 1993, which secured them a record deal with RCA Records in 1995. The album featured the popular tracks, “Spoonful of Sugar” and “Victoria." Stout was replaced by A.J. Dunning on guitar, where he remained for the three forthcoming albums on RCA.
