Radiohead's 'Paranoid Android' Tops Best Song List

Radiohead's "Paranoid Android" has topped a new list of the best songs of the past 15 years.

The 1997 track beat out Arcade Fire's "Rebellion (Lies)" and "Hey Ya!" by Outkast in the NME.com countdown.

The Strokes' "Last Nite" and "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers also made the top five, while tunes by The White Stripes ("Fell In Love With A Girl"), Hot Chip ("Over And Over"), The Verve ("Bittersweet Symphony") and the late Amy Winehouse ("Rehab") made the top 10.

R.E.M.'s 'Everybody Hurts' Makes Most Men Cry

R.E.M.'s Everybody Hurts is the song most likely to make men sob, according to a new British survey.

The tune beat Tears in Heaven - Eric Clapton's heartfelt tribute to his dead son - to top a new poll conducted by PRS for Music, an organization which collects royalties.

Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah was third and Sinead O'Connor was the only woman on the list at four with Prince-penned song Nothing Compares 2 U.

Also making the top 10: With or Without You by U2, The Verve's The Drugs Don't Work and Candle in the Wind by Elton John.

The Verve have not only leaked the first single from their forthcoming album this week, "Love Is Noise", but they've also now given the record the title of Forth and revealed the track listing.

It will be released on August 18th in the UK, while North America gets the record a day later (Aug 19th) via their own imprint On Our Own distributed via Megaforce/MRI, and label duties by For The Win!.

The Good, The Bad and The Queen is a new project featuring Damon Albarn (Blur/Gorillaz), Paul Simonon (The Clash), Tony Allen (Fela Kuti/Africa 70) and Simon Tong (The Verve).

Richard Ashcroft has confessed he took Prozac to help him cope with depression. The Verve singer - who is married with two sons - admits he has always been a "depressive" but says the pills didn't help. He said: "I'd definitely say I'm a depressive, someone who suffers from depression.

"Without music and creativity I'd need other forms of therapy. But for me, the life process is the process of healing yourself. Some people need pills for it - I've tried medication and found that it just doesn't work for me. It's very, very synthetic."
