Teenage pop star Belinda scooped two awards at the MTV Video Music Awards Latin America on Thursday. The 18-year-old picked up the award for Video of the Year (for Bella Traicion) and Best Solo Artist at a ceremony in Mexico City.

Reggaeton star Daddy Yankee scooped the top prize at the MTV Latin American Music Awards in Mexico City last night, while rockers Mana and newcomers Panda were also big winners. Rock group My Chemical Romance won Best International Rock Artist, while Brit pop stars Robbie Williams and James Blunt took home the Best International Pop Artist and Best International New Artist respectively.

The 7th Annual Latin Grammy Awards nominations were announced today, and Colombian singer/songwriter Shakira led the nominations with five. Shakira's five nominations include: Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year and Best Short Form Music Video for "La Tortura," and Album Of The Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Album for Fijación Oral Vol. 1.
