Velvet Revolver Close To Naming New Singer?
Rockers Velvet Revolver are close to finding a frontman to replace former singer Scott Weiland. The supergroup, featuring former Guns N' Roses stars Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum, fired Weiland after a series of public band fights in April and have been looking for a new singer ever since.
The search stalled late last year after Liv Tyler's ex-husband, British rocker Royston Langdon, formerly of the band Spacehog, auditioned for the group - but McKagan insists there's new hope.

Velvet Revolver have scrapped plans to turn their search for a new singer into a reality TV show. The rockers have been without a frontman since firing Scott Weiland at the beginning of April, and were toying with the idea of turning their hunt for his replacement into a TV talent contest.
Drummer Matt Sorum reveals several TV producers pitched the band the idea for the show.
