July 17th, 2014 8:01pm EDT
Eddie Vedder
Eddie Vedder has explained himself after he spoke out about the current violent situations around the world.

The Pearl Jam singer was at a concert in England last week when he had a rant about technology and war in-between songs. He said, "At the same time that something this positive is happening, not even that far away, people are f---ing dropping bombs on each other."

He continued, "I swear to f--king God, there are people out there who are looking for a reason to kill. They're looking for a reason to go across borders and take over land that doesn't belong to them. They should get the...

Pharrell Williams And Eddie Vedder To Join Oscars Academy
Among the 12 musical names asked to join the Oscars Academy are Pharrell Williams and Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder. Joining the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences means that the members will be able to vote for nominees.

Due to changes in the Oscar music campaign, however, the Academy has laid out rules to avoid disqualifications and campaigning for songs by its members. Last year, Bruce Broughton and Dennis Spiegel's song from "Alone Yet Not Alone" received a nod from the Academy, but it was later disqualified after it was revealed that Broughton emailed at least 70 of his f...

It just so happened that last Friday night (6/20/14) those two worlds collided.

During their tour in Milan, Italy, frontman Eddie Vedder transitioned from the song 'Daughter' into a short rock-rendition of 'Let It Go' originally sung by Idina Menzel in Disney's smash hit, Frozen. Needless to say, it was a completely different experience at a Pearl Jam...

In the civil rights movement, three workers were murdered in Mississippi during the "Freedom Summer," and Anchorage, Alaska was hit by a massive earthquake.
