But first, how about a little “Fifty Nifty United States”… “From 13 original colonies!”

Unlike Harrison Ford, These Stars Didn't Survive Their Plane Crashes

10 Musicians Who Died In Plane Crashes
Everyone's been talking about Harrison Ford's plane crash. The actor probably saved some lives when he crash landed his vintage aircraft on a golf course on March 5, 2015. The plane's engine failed, but the star's flying experience and quick thinking helped him land without crashing into any nearby homes.

Ford was lucky. He survived the crash and suffered just a broken pelvis and ankle. Other stars haven't been as fortunate. Musicians are high on the list of those killed in plane crashes, probably because they frequently tour the world to perform for their legions of fans.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's Class of 2015 was officially announced on Tuesday morning, revealing eight new bands and artists who will be immortalized in Cleveland, Ohio (is that really a good thing?)

Although they received only 2.59% of the fan vote, Green Day was elected to the Hall in their first year of eligibility, while bands like Yes, The Moody Blues, Chicago and Warren Zevon -- all eligible for the Hall for at least two decades now -- were snubbed yet again, the four combining for just one nomination in the past quarter century.

Unexpected, Untimely And Shocking Deaths In Music

7/1/2009 11:15am EDT
Shocking music deaths
Heart attacks. Plane crashes. Car crashes. Drug overdoses. Murder. Over the years, these have become some of the most common causes of the often shocking deaths in the music industry. On a lighter note, some might argue that even ham sandwiches have been involved.

Regardless of the cause, take a look back at these musical icons that have left us way, way, way too soon - yet have left us with legacies that will live on forever. The majority of these deaths, in addition to being sudden and shocking, were in some way either ironic or just completely messed up. Rock on...

Can Guitar Hero Top Itself?

4/10/2008 2:30pm EDT
Guitar Hero
When the first Guitar Hero was released for the Playstation 2 in November 2005, it was met with both critical acclaim and a lot of buzz: a video game that substituted a simulated guitar for the standard controller? Why, it was unheard of! The game sold a modest 1.5 million copies and was popular enough to launch an entire franchise that has only gotten better with time.

Take, for example, the setlists. The original game, with a mere 47 songs, was composed of almost entirely cover versions. Guitar Hero II, on the other hand, contained 64 songs, four of which were actually recorded by th...

Latest Stevie Ray Vaughan Disc Gathers Live Recordings And Amazing Collaborations

11/12/2007 9:00pm EST
Stevie Ray Vaughan
Like the greatest 20th century blues and rock guitarists who preceded him, many of whom were primal influences on his journeyman lifestyle and unpredictable musical outlook, Stevie Ray Vaughan (1954-1990) was always ready, willing and able to jam. Whether it was a rhythm section backup assignment in the recording studio for another singer or instrumentalist, or a live drop-in on stage at a nightclub or festival, his presence enhanced every session he made, and left some unforgettable music in its wake.

For the first time, an entire album collection is devoted to this side of Stevie Ray...

Stevie Ray Vaughan's 'Pride And Joy' Video Upgraded To DVD

Stevie Ray Vaughan
In 2007, on the 25th anniversary of the debut of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble at the Montreux Jazz Festival in July 1982 - four short months before they began recording their first album for Epic Records - the sky is still crying over the loss of one of the world's most renowned young guitarists, just eight summers later, in August 1990.

Seeing was believing - and this was one band who was fortunate to come of age at the dawn of the MTV era, when film and video production became almost as important as studio recording. During the course of the '80s, promotional video clips, l...
