James Blunt swept the 51st annual Ivor Novello Awards in London last night - leaving Coldplay empty handed. The You're Beautiful singer scooped up two prestigious 'Ivors' for Most Performed Work and International Hit of the Year, for his worldwide hit You're Beautiful, at the ceremony - which honors songwriters - held at the plush Grosvenor Hotel.

The 31-year-old singer blasted his critics as he accepted the accolade for Most Performed Work. He said: "To all those b#$%^s who don't like my music - you're all adults, you can switch your radio off."

Kaiser Chiefs swept the board at the Brits last night - walking off with three awards. The rock band - who opened the show with a dazzling performance of hit single I Predict A Riot at the prestigious ceremony - were thrilled to win Best British Group, Best British Rock Act and Best Live Act. Frontman Ricky Wilson said: "It's amazing, but it's not our style to be boastful."

Gorillaz & Jack Johnson Added To BRIT Awards Performer List

Animated sonic experimentalists Gorillaz and American singer-songwriter Jack Johnson have been added to the list of artists performing at this year’s BRIT Awards.

This will be the second appearance of the Gorillaz' brand of cartoon mayhem at The BRITs (they opened the show in memorable fashion in 2002), and comes on the back of a year of critically acclaimed live performances.

Former surfer Jack Johnson, who shot to fame last year with his album In Between Dreams (click for review) will be making his BRITs debut, ahead of a 2006 UK tour.
