MacDonald insists she is very relaxed about the pregnancy - the couple haven't found out the sex of the baby or even started preparing for its arrival.

She says, "I've been really lazy. I didn't think I would be like this. But I don't know why I should be different pregnant than at any other time." MacDonald and Payne's ...

Travis Encourage Fans To Film Gigs

September 14th, 2007 10:05am EDT
Travis
Travis frontman Fran Healy encourages fans of the band to take pictures and film their concerts to post online, because it gives them another perspective of their act.

The Scottish rocker has attacked American security guards who recently confiscated audio equipment from Travis fans at a U.S. gig - and has called on more devotees to capture their performances on stage.

He says, "From a purely selfish view it helps me. I can go onto the internet and check out a song - at any given time you have 100 amateur cameramen taking a picture of your show from a variety of angles.

"It's...

July 20th, 2007 2:34pm EDT

Coldplay only catapulted to superstardom because of Scottish band Travis' groundwork, their front man claims. Fran Healy is adamant his group's hit 1999 album the Man Who helped forge a demand for similar music.

He says, "(We) created a playing pitch for bands like Coldplay and the other dozens of groups who came after The Man Who to sell not just hundreds and thousands of records, but millions of records."

Travis Frontman Slams Politicians

July 20th, 2007 12:17pm EDT
Travis
Travis frontman Fran Healy has launched a scathing tirade against politicians, insisting they're forced into the career because they have no other talent. The Scottish rocker maintains lawmakers are inspired by fame rather than a real passion for making the world a better place.

He says, "Politics is guys who couldn't be in pop bands and trying to be famous for something. They couldn't play football, they couldn't box and couldn't write songs, so what were they going to do? They thought: 'I'll get a suit and talk bollocks. I don't even have to write my speeches, I'll get someone els...

Fran Healy Feared Losing Songwriting Skills

May 14th, 2007 2:07pm EDT

Travis frontman Fran Healy feared the therapy sessions that helped him battle depression would make him lose his songwriting talent. The singer used hypnotherapy to combat the illness, but feared he would no longer be able to write music if he was no longer depressed.

He says, "I wasn't really comfortable talking about this at the time it came out, but (album) 12 Memories was about going into therapy and the record was the therapy sessions.

"So I had three months of hypnotherapy instead, where you went back and fixed your memories.

Travis have defended their Scottish colleague Paolo Nutini from reports he was drunk during a recent gig, insisting he's entitled to "have fun". The New Shoes star performed at the Oasis Center in Swindon, England, last month but left fans angry and bitterly disappointed when he mumbled songs.

Onlookers believe Nutini got carried away celebrating his favorite soccer team's success, as Celtic Football Club had won the Scottish Premier League a day earlier, and blamed the singer for being "unprofessional."

But Travis guitarist Andy Dunlop urges fans to go easy on the singer. He says...

Scottish rockers Travis chose movie star Ben Stiller to appear in the video for their new single Closer, because no one else was "uptight" enough to play the role. The group needed someone to play a stressed and uptight supermarket manager for their latest video, and couldn't think of anyone else who could do a better job.

Bassist Douglas Payne says, "(Stiller) is a lovely friend, and when we got the treatment for the video there was this part for an uptight wound-up guy.

"We just thought, 'Who do we know that is uptight and wound-up?' So Fran (lead singer) emailed Ben and sure e...
