The Ting Tings released their debut album “We Started Nothing” in May 2008. The album reached #1 on the United Kingdom Albums chart and was certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). It reached #78 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart and #8 on the Independent Albums chart. They were nominated for Best New Artist at the 2010 Grammy Awards. “Hands,” the first single from their as-of-yet untitled second studio album, was released in 2010. The song debuted at #29 on the U.K. Singles chart.
