Rufus Thomas was on Avid when he issued this 1977 album, and the difference between this label and Stax was evident in the colorless backing, routine production, and general blandness of the tracks featured on the LP. Thomas tried to whip up some enthusiasm, and his rendition of the title cut came close to generating some attention for the album.
