Obama, Bono, Robin Thicke Top List Of GQ Magazine's Least Influe
Bono, Robin Thicke and President Obama have topped GQ's Least Influential People Of 2014 list.

Bono was chided for giving away free music to the masses in a forced download of their latest album, "Songs of Innocence" to millions of iTunes subscribers. Said the magazine about the experiment, "The worst part was the way both Apple and U2 treated this, like it was some kind of noble gift to The People; in fact this was a $100 million marketing campaign.Yes, $100 million to turn U2's socially conscious dad-rock into a piece of direct mail."

Lawsuit Against Robin Thicke And Pharrell Williams Over 'Blurred Lines' Going To Trial By Jury

Robin Thicke and Emily Ratajkowski
The lawsuit brought by the family of late singer Marvin Gaye against Robin Thicke, Pharrell Williams and T.I. over hit single "Blurred Lines" will go on.

A Judge in Los Angeles ruled that a trial by jury will be needed to decide whether or not the artists sampled music from Gaye's hit song "Got To Give It Up" and infringing on its copyright.

The three stars attempted to dissuade District Judge John A. Kronstadt from moving forward with a trial, but it wasn't enough and a trial will now be scheduled.

Last year the children of the late Gaye filed a suit claiming that Thicke, Williams and T...

10 Of The Most Controversial Songs Of The 10s
Controversy has become commonplace in music, particularly in the 10s. Musicians are certainly taking more liberties, pushing the envelope more than ever before. Often, the weapon of choice is sex, but ultimately, there are few limitations to controversy anymore. Below are 10 of the more controversial songs of the 10s. Perhaps these don’t necessarily rank as the biggest offenders, but they have all raised eyebrows and/or drawn skeptics for some reason or another.

1) Robin Thicke featuring Pharrell Williams & T.I., “Blurred Lines” (Blurred Lines, 2013)

5 Musicians Experiencing A Horrible 2014 (With Bonus Tracks!)
Not everybody is having a swell 2014. Some people are searching for employment, grieving over a loved one, or dealing with the heartbreak of a relationship. Others – those creatures called musicians – are dealing with some of the same things, not to mention flopped albums and a boatload of controversy. Here are five musicians experiencing a horrible 2014, with three honorable ‘bonus tracks’ thrown in.

1) Robin Thicke

It should take an army to beat Justin Bieber at the coveted top spot, but Robin Thicke has it “signed, sealed, and delivered” following nothing short of a dreadful yea...

Robin Thicke Was Too High On Vicodin To Write 'Blurred Lines'
While being interrogated for allegedly copying Marvin Gaye's song "Got To Give It Up" to make "Blurred Lines," Robin Thicke confessed to being so high he couldn't have written the hit track.

Gaye's family filed a lawsuit against Thicke, Pharrell Williams and T.I., accusing them of ripping off the song. Thicke gave a deposition in April, saying he took more credit for "Blurred Lines" than he should have, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The singer explained, "To be honest... I was high on Vicodin and alcohol when I showed up at the studio. So my recollection is when we made the song, I...

Robin Thicke and Miley Cyrus
Sure, it was just a year ago, but Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke had people talking for months last year following their performance of Thicke's hit "Blurred Lines" at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Their raunchy performance together (which may or may not have set the wheels in motion for Thicke's 2014 split from wife Paula Patton), which featured lots of "twerking" and Miley even grinding on Thicke's crotch, caused a huge controversy over what kids should be seeing on television.

This year, the Parent's Television Council (PTC) has asked MTV to tone things down, but it sounds like those reque...

10 Most Regrettable Albums Of 2014
Have you ever had the reaction OMG – or maybe better yet, OMFG? (The answer should be “like totally” because it’s rhetorical). Well, some poorly conceived albums in 2014 brought the same sort of personal reaction. Sometimes albums – specifically the music on them – are like incredible beings that can satisfy and fulfill. And then other times, albums leave you wishing you hadn’t invested the time and/or the money.

The following albums, regardless of commercial success or non-success struck out – four strikes if possible. In other words – do NOT “pass go and collect $200.”

It's Finally Over For Robin Thicke And Paula Patton

July 24th, 2014 3:52pm EDT

If a house listing and recent reports are anything to go by, it appears Robin Thicke is finally throwing in the towel to get back with his estranged wife Paula Patton.

Variety reported earlier this week the pair's giant, 3,158 square foot home was listed for $2.9 million and change. Robin's father and TV star Alan Thicke bought the property back in 1990 for just under $1 million.

Many took the listing as the sign the two were going to make their split official, although it could also be preparation for Robin's lower income. The singer's recent album Paula, named after Patton, has flopped ...

12 Best Robin Thicke Songs
Everybody has been giving Robin Thicke grief – ‘the devil’ if you will – and justifiably so. As infectious and beloved as “Blurred Lines” was in 2013, riding high for 12 consecutive weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100, everyone kind of had bones to pick with the R&B singer. Questions ranged from whether Thicke copped the song from the legendary Marvin Gaye to the lyrics referencing rape and misogyny. Furthermore, the video clip with nude models did little to discourage the alleged objectification of women.

Then add to the mix the separation with Paula Patton and the god-awful reaction al...

Review: Robin Thicke Sounds Desperate On 'Paula'

July 2nd, 2014 8:00am EDT
Robin Thicke - Paula
Not even a full year after Blurred Lines dropped, R&B artist Robin Thicke returns with a follow-up album, entitled Paula. Paula, named after Thicke’s wife, Paula Patton (with whom he is currently separated from), serves the role of heartbreak, reconciliation, and anachronistic retro-soul album. In other words, Paula is a 'jack of all trades' and a 'master of none.' Honestly, the only thing Paula masters is being a desperate, bore-fest.

Paula begins off-putting with "My Fantasy," a mix somewhere between Latin-jazz and adult contemporary R&B. The sound isn’t far-fetched for Thicke; it...

Within moments of VH1 promoting their tweet, users pounced to ask Thicke about the perceived misogynistic themes of his song Blurred Lines and the music video attached to it featuring nude women. One of the first responses was "Why are you a f--king creeper? Why are you stalking your ex through media? Why do you promote rape culture?"
