Them Crooked Vultures Roadie Sues Over Injury

A roadie for Dave Grohl's supergroup Them Crooked Vultures has launched a claim for damages after he was allegedly injured at one of the band's performances in London.

Joao Teixeira, 43, of Southwark, south London claims he was hurt while hauling equipment into the British capital's Brixton Academy venue ahead of a Them Crooked Vultures show in August, 2009.

He has gone to court and filed a $160,000 damages claim against British concert crew company Stage Miracles Ltd, alleging the firm violated the U.K.'s health and safety laws, according to the London Evening Standard.

Rockers Queens Of The Stone Age are set to end their two-year hiatus by heading back to the recording studio in 2011.

The band has not released any new material since 2007's Era Vulgaris, and in 2008 they embarked an extended break which saw frontman Josh Homme form Them Crooked Vultures with Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones.

Guitarist Dean Fertita also focused on a side-project, playing with Jack White's The Dead Weather, but the musician admits the No One Knows hit-makers are now ready to work together again.

On Sunday musician Dave Grohl took his daughter Violet Maye to Mr. Bones pumpkin patch in Los Angeles to get into the Halloween spirit.

Grohl, who has been a part of such band as Nirvana, Foo Fighters and Them Crooked Vultures, was spotted riding down a large inflatable slide while holding onto his daughter.

Eagles of Death Metal bass player Brian O'Connor is to undergo surgery in Los Angeles on Wednesday after doctors diagnosed him with cancer.

Dave Grohl's Them Crooked Vultures band mates have released a spoof video detailing the rocker's "coffee addiction" during their studio sessions.

The footage, posted on YouTube.com, shows the musicians recording their upcoming second album, and pokes fun at the Foo Fighters frontman's love of hot beverages.

Motorhead star Lemmy and Judas Priest's Rob Halford are to be honored with top prizes at the second annual Revolver Golden Gods Awards in April. Aerosmith's split could be over a lot sooner than expected - the band has signed on to co-headline Britain's Download festival, and Steven Tyler is expected to be part of the show.
