The Seekers were a group of Australian folk-influenced popular musicians that was formed in Melbourne in 1962. They were the first Australian popular music group to achieve major chart and sales success in the United Kingdom and the United States and were a highly popular band of the 1960s, at some points rivaling the popularity of The Beatles.
