The Divine Comedy is a pop band form Northern Ireland fronted by Neil Hannon. At the age of eighteen, Hannon and two Ennis Killen school friends got together to form what would become The Divide Comedy. The band promptly moved to London to pursue their musical career, and released the album, “Fanfare for the Comic Muse” in 1990. Shortly thereafter The Divine Comedy supported Tori Amos on tour, received airplay on Radio 1, and was set to become 'the next big thing.' However, the band split shortly thereafter.
