Linkin Park & My Chemical Romance Head Out On Joint Tour

Linkin Park and My Chemical Romance are teaming up for a summer U.S. tour to start in July. My Chemical Romance, who is currently on tour with British group Muse, will co-headline the Projekt Revolution tour with Linkin Park.

Placebo, H.I.M. and Taking Back Sunday are also lined up to play dates on the touring festival, which will begin in Sacramento, California on July 27.

Reprise Records' My Chemical Romance will launch the second leg of their extensive tour in support of their number one rock album, the RIAA gold-certified, The Black Parade. The second round of the U.S. arena tour, produced by Art Show - a national touring division of Goldenvoice - will kick off in Houston, TX at the Reliant Arena on April 14.

Former Blink-182 star Tom Delonge's new band Angels & Airwaves was the toast of the annual Woodie Awards in New York Wednesday night after claiming the event's top prize. The group claimed the Woodie of The Year award at the event, held to honor college students' favorite emerging artists and music.

British punk-pop trio The Subways were also celebrating after landing the International Woodie prize at the Roseland Ballroom ceremony. Gnarls Barkley, Gorillaz, AFI, O.A.R, Imogen Heap and Taking Back Sunday also won honors.

Following the announcement made by MySpace's Tom Anderson earlier this week, Taking Back Sunday have announced their summer tour dates today. The tour with Angels and Airwaves and support band Head Automatica will kick off on June 22nd in Jackson, NJ at Six Flags - Great Adventure. The band will be traversing the U.S. in support of their Warner Bros. Records release, Louder Now, in stores Tuesday, April 25.
