Retailers and rental services are racing to inform customers that the DVD of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo they just received is not, in fact, a forgery. Sony decided to put a spin on the movie's home release by designing the disc to look like a pirated copy, complete with a title written in marker.

Courtney Love has axed Hole's slot at Australia's upcoming Soundwave music festival after she was left infuriated when promoters booked Limp Bizkit and placed the rockers above them in the line-up.

Hole were due to perform alongside Slipknot, System Of A Down and You Me At Six at the event next year, but after finding out their place on the bill, Love cancelled the show.

Ozzy Osbourne has ruled out hitting the road with his long running music festival Ozzfest this year because he wants to focus on solo shows in Europe.

Armenian-Americans System Of A Down are to reunite for a series of shows in Europe next year.

The acclaimed quartet announced an indefinite hiatus in 2006 and haven't worked together as a band since.

But, in a post online, the group reveals it has booked 10 European shows in 2011.

The statement on the band's website reads, "We have no master plan. We are playing these shows simply because we want to play together again."

Scars on Broadway, the long-awaited collaboration between guitarist-frontman Daron Malakian and drummer John Dolmayan, both best known for their work in the multi-Platinum-selling, Grammy-winning band System of a Down, has signed with Interscope Records and will see their self-titled debut released on July 29.

With Malakian sitting in the Scars' producer chair, he and Dolmayan entered the studio last September, recorded nearly two-dozen songs for the album, and then whittled down the final track listing to 14 songs.
