Supergrass drummer Danny Goffey is refusing to use the band's year off as an excuse to rest - he is releasing a solo album. The British band is taking a year's break to allow bass player Mick Quinn to recover after he broke his back in August.

Supergrass bassist Mick Quinn has broken his back in a freak accident in France. The English rocker, 37, was holidaying in a rented villa in the south of France when he fell out of a first floor window while sleepwalking.
