Here are seven albums to check out this week!

1) Chris Brown, X (RCA)

After multiple delays, Chris Brown releases his fifth studio album, X. Delayed al...

April 7th, 2012 5:00pm EDT
Ashton Kucther
Ongoing criticism about his appearance at the Academy of Country Music Awards last Sunday has prompted actor Ashton Kutcher to defend himself again.

The star's cowboy clothing and a Capella rendition of George Strait's "I Cross My Heart" onstage at the Las Vegas ceremony had many stars questioning his motives, with many of country's elite suggesting he shouldn't have been at the event at all.

Others, like Miranda Lambert, who received an award from Kutcher, suggested he was actually mocking the genre.

The actor took to Twitter.com earlier this week to respond to remarks Lambert made, sta...

'American Idol' Recap: The Contestants (& Judges) Disappoint On Movie Night

April 14th, 2011 8:10am EDT
American Idol
I just couldn’t wait to see how they did.

For once, I’m not talking about the contestants. Last night it was the judges’ performance that had me most anxious for the show to begin. After Pia’s exit, they’d been taking a ton of flak from myself and endless other ‘ American Idol’ recappers saying it was finally time for them to toughen up.

And this was the perfect night to test. After weeks and weeks of solid performances all down the line, last night we got our first really consistently bad night from the contestants. A night that totally blew out my restrictive theme theory – because last...

Carrie Underwood's Four Dresses At The Academy Of Country Music Awards - Which One Was Best?

April 19th, 2010 5:59pm EDT
Carrie Underwood
Carrie Underwood was the Belle of the Ball at last night's Academy of Country Music Awards. She became the first woman to win "Entertainer of The Year" twice, but four times was the charm for the country pop star - sho wore four different dresses during the course of the evening.

She made her first red carpet appearance of the night in a light peach dress with silver beaded accents. We weren't crazy about the puffy one-sleeved shoulder ensemble.

She performed twice in two very different dresses. One, a pastel purple and pink floral dress, definitely screamed country. But country can be...

Whatever happened to Jewel? Well, she looked fabulous at the 45th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards in a blue Jenny Packham gown. The simple, long flowing dress was accented by a jeweled bodice. And the music star topped off the look with dangling gold earrings. Simple, yet sweet!

Last fall a man was charged with stalking the singer. He told authorities he was led to her Texas home on a mission from God. Michael Lawrance Kozelka was arrested after showing up at the ranch Jewel shares with her rodeo star husband Ty Murray. The Wisconsin man was told to stay away from the property but...
