Lisa Stansfield
Swing [Original Soundtrack]
Release Date: 1999 07 13
Running Time: 62:52
Label: BMG
Rating:

A gem of a soundtrack, sung primarily by this British soul singer. The bright, sassy arrangements are fine showcases for her confident, take-charge vocals. She's also in on the writing of five of the album's 15 songs. Veteran English singer and occasional Van Morrison collaborator Georgie Fame guests on a couple of numbers. The band includes former Bruce Springsteen saxman Clarence Clemons, who appears in the movie with Stansfield. Even if the movie stinks, there's the music to remember. Mark Allan, All Music Guide
