Early Wednesday morning, rapper Soulja Boy was arrested in California for gun possession.

Police in San Fernando Valley pulled over a car that the hip-hop star, 23, was a passenger in. They stopped the vehicle due to a minor traffic violation.

Soulja Boy is facing legal action from a music producer who has accused the rapper of plagiarism.

Michael J. Garcia and bosses of entertainment company Hip-Hop Frat House filed suit against the star and his S.O.D. Money Gang Entertainment Inc. record label on September 14th over the producer's song Racks, which was allegedly submitted for Soulja Boy's approval.

The lawsuit alleges Soulja Boy took the musical composition and placed his vocals over the top to create his song Swag Daddy, according to Allhiphop.com.

The plaintiffs are suing for unspecified damages, as well as legal fees.

Two music promoters have been hit with a $50,000 lawsuit alleging they reneged on a deal to arrange concerts starring rappers Drake and Soulja Boy.

Bosses at show organizers 80s Baby claim they booked several acts, including R&B singer Ciara and hip-hop star Plies, to perform at two gigs in Texas last year.
