Sons of the Desert
Change
Release Date: 2000 06 13
Label: MCA Nashville
Rating:

Taking their name from a Laurel & Hardy movie, this five-member band may perhaps be best known from singing harmonies on Ty Herndon's "It Must Be Love" and/or Lee Ann Womack's "I Hope You Dance." And having released their first album, Whatever Comes First, with Epic Records in 1997 to little acclaim, Sons of the Desert is certainly on the road to changing all of that with their sophomore release, appropriately titled Change. From the first track straight through to the last, it's easy to see why a few country artists have chosen the Sons to sing background vocals: their harmonies are unparalleled. Mixing it up with humor, honesty, and all-out toe-tapping singles, Change is sure to make a place in the spotlight for the very appealing Sons of the Desert. Maria Konicki Dinoia, All Music Guide
